Our immersion programs combine Minnetonka’s tradition of academic excellence with the lifelong advantages of learning another language. Students learn subjects in Chinese or Spanish, following the same Kindergarten curriculum as their English-program peers. Language learning becomes part of every discovery, conversation and classroom activity, helping students grow as confident learners while developing fluency throughout their elementary years.

Every Minnetonka neighborhood elementary school offers both an English program and an immersion program. Families choosing immersion are asked to make a six-year commitment to their selected language, giving children the continuity to build lasting language skills and cultural understanding.
