Thank you, Paraprofessionals!

Minnetonka Schools is celebrating Paraprofessionals Appreciation Week! Thank you to our amazing paras for their significant contributions throughout the school district.

Just one example is Janie Warner, a paraprofessional at Clear Springs elementary for more than 20 years. Warner wears three hats as a paraprofessional; she is a coach for students with ADHD, a confident kids para and a project play para.  She began working in the District back when her children attended Clear Springs.

Warner said, “I love building relationships with students as they progress through our school. It’s amazing to see the growth and progress students develop.”

She also said, “In the Project Play program, we work on social-emotional skills, and there is lots a lot of kindness between students, which gives me hope.”

Paraprofessionals provide essential support to teachers, administrators and other staff in our schools. They assist with a variety of tasks, including classroom management, student supervision and instructional support. In addition, they often take on roles as mentors and advocates for students, providing an invaluable link between the classroom and the home.

Paraprofessionals are dedicated to helping students reach their full potential. They go above and beyond to provide support and guidance to students. This week, make sure to thank the paraprofessionals in the District for their incredible dedication to creating positive learning experiences for students.
